The Notes

Before blogging, I just wrote for my friends and family on Facebook about the two and a half years during which I was living in Isla Mujeres, Mex., and managing a small hotel for my sister and her husband, who were still in the States and needed an on-site caretaker. It was an interesting, boring, awful, wonderful, hilarious, sad time that taught me a lot about life and myself. It also made me an expert in things like, where the best place is to buy door handles in Cancun, because salt air destroys EVERYthing.
